Soaking assorted wooden spheres or unfinished wood beads in scented oil can create a nice aroma for a room. You can also use absorbent fabric remnants, roll them into balls and soak them in scented wax, sort of like the scraggly bears.

Great interview; liked your points on laundry as well - and here's a tip for anyone concerned about using vinegar in their wash - just add a few drops of any essential oil (lavender, sweet orange, etc) to the vinegar and put it in during the rinse cycle.

No! And this is where I get to be nerdy. Vinegar is also known as acetic acid to us science geeks. All you need to do, if the water in the washing machine doesn't get rid of it all (it's miscible in water) that a run through the dryer will evaporate it all and your clothes will reap all the benefits...
